Important Documents for your Semester Abroad Application

HERE you find all relevant documents for your exchange: important information/documents, program of the international week 2023, presentations of partner universites and study reports (Erfahrungsberichte) of fellow students.
 

Exchange Placement Options

At the partner universities with tuition fees, we have “unlimited” placements available. Any students meeting the academic, technical or language prerequisites will be accepted.

  • At the partner schools where we only have limited places available, placements will be awarded through a lottery process.

Timing and Deadlines

The application process takes place ONLY ONCE each year. You will receive an email invitation from the International Center in November/December that lets you know when the next study abroad information session is taking place. At the information session, you will learn more about the application process.

Applications for the study abroad and exchange for the next academic year 2024/25
are due at 12 p.m. NOON, Dec 12, 2023 (uploaded and submitted MoveOn application).
 
The selection process takes place in January and you will be notified of your application status at the end of January.

For example, this means that if you want to study abroad during the 2024/2025 academic year, you will need to take part in an information session offered by the International Center in November 2023 and complete your application by 12 December 2023.

Special instructions for ERASMUS+ exchange
ERASMUS+ gives students of all degree programmes and departments in at least their third semester the opportunity to complete a 3- to 12-months stay abroad at a partner university. ERASMUS+ students receive a partial subsidy for their stay abroad, funded by the European Commission, and the transfer of credit back to Hochschule Worms is guaranteed.

You may apply for an ERASMUS+ exchange placement if you:

  • are a student enrolled at Hochschule Worms,
  • have completed at least one academic year of study at the time of application, and
  • have sufficient knowledge of the language in which the instruction is conducted at the partner university.

Important Note

If for any reason you have to cancel your semester abroad, you must inform us before the planned start of your stay. Otherwise you'll lose the opportunity to study abroad ever again.
