Application submitted: and now?

You have successfully completed your application in the application portal? Congratulations - you are one step closer to your study place at Worms. Now it's time to wait and check the application portal at regular intervals, because we process the application after it has been received by the Student Office and give you feedback via the portal about the status of the application and whether, for example, any documents are still missing that need to be submitted. Furthermore, if you later receive an offer of admission, you can also download your letter of admission and request for enrolment. So it's worth taking a regular look! 

On this page, we inform you about the possible application statuses your application may receive after we receive it and give you further information about what the next steps are. 


The status of your application: briefly explained

Below you will find the different statuses that your application may receive. We endeavour to provide you with feedback on the status of your application as quickly as possible via the application portal and therefore ask you to refrain from enquiries about the status of the processing procedure.

Application Phase

  • In Preparation

    You have already started to enter this application in the portal. The application has not yet been finally entered in the system.

  • Received

    You have entered this application in the portal and submitted it "electronically". The application will now be checked by the university.
    As soon as the verification has taken place, you will again receive a message about the status change - provided that the notification has been activated by you in the application portal.

  • Temporarily excluded

    Your application is not eligible because not all admission requirements have been met or were submitted properly.

    → Within the application deadline, you can submit additional documents that are relevant for admission.

    Please check the online portal to see which documents are still missing. In the portal you will also see how you can submit missing documents to us.
    If in doubt, please send us the missing documents to application@hs-worms.de or contact us by phone.

  • Excluded

    DoSV Study programme

    Your application is not eligible. The application can not be considered in the admission procedure.

    Master's programme or application for a higher semester

    Your application is not eligible because not all admission requirements have been met or were submitted properly.

  • Valid

    Your application is eligible and will participate in the admission process. You have chances to get an admission offer. Missing documents shown  in the portal can be submitted later.

  • Cancelled

    You have decided that this application should no longer be part of the admission process.

Admission Phase

  • Admission offered

    DoSV Study programme

    An admission offer has been granted to you. If you wish to enrol for this application, you must accept the offer within the specified deadline via the portal of Hochschulstart. Afterwards you will receive a letter of admission and you must request your enrolment in the portal of the University of Applied Sciences Worms.

    Master's programme or application for a higher semester

    An admission offer has been granted to you. If you wish to enrol for this application, you must accept the offer within the specified deadline via the portal of the University of Applied Sciences Worms. Afterwards you will receive a letter of admission and you must request your enrolment in the portal of the University of Applied Sciences Worms.

  • Admission offer currently impossible

    Until now we could not give you an admission offer. This status is a "transition status" - which means,  you still have the chance to receive an admission offer for this application. Your application will still participate in the admission procedure.

  • Admitted

    You have accepted an admission offer through the portal of Hochschulstart. You will receive your admission letter shortly. Now it is still necessary to request enrolment via the portal of the Worms University of Applied Sciences.

  • Postponed

    You have decided to postpone an admission offer or an admission via the portal of Hochschulstart.

  • Another offer accepted

    You have chosen another offer. Accordingly, this application has been withdrawn and can no longer be accepted.

  • Admission offer expired

    You have not accepted the admission offer on time. Accordingly, this application has been withdrawn and can no longer be accepted.

  • Disclaimed

    We could not offer you an admission for the desired programm. You will receive a letter of rejection via post.

Enrolment Phase

  • Request for enrolment submitted

    You have requested your enrolment properly. The complete enrolment documents in accordance with the letter of admission must be sent to the university within the deadline.

  • Request for enrolment in process

    You have requested your enrolment properly. We have received your documents for enrolment and will proof them for completeness.

  • Request for enrolment accepted

    You are enrolled at Worms University of Applied Sciences. You will receive your university account via post and e-mail and can use it to print out a certificate of study. The enrolment process is thus completed.
