Individual Coaching

  • Individual Coaching

You can arrange an individual coaching with the Teaching Library at any time to discuss your questions about research and academic work. Our individual consultation supports you in

    • research and evaluating literature and information,
    • citation,
    • literature management programmes: Citavi and Zotero,
    • questions about our databases.

In individual consultation sessions, we are able to identify your specific information needs and respond accordingly. Please contact us, for example, if you are about to write a seminar paper, Bachelor's or Master's thesis, or if you are stuck with your work and don't know how to proceed - together we will find a solution!

  • Lectures in seminars

As ateaching library we started offering workshops on the topic of information and research skills in July 2012.

In addition to our library introductions, workshops and our individual one-to-one consultations, we are also guests in some seminars of the various study programs and we are very interested in making this a permanent feature. In these courses, we offer both introductory and in-depth courses in the form of lectures or seminars. Possible topics are:

    • library services: OPAC, eMedia, VPN-Client, library account and interlibrary loan,
    • the most relevant scientific and specialized databases,
    • a practical approach to systematic research,
    • tips for using varied types of resources,
    • tips for evaluating resources,
    • the basics of citation,
    • literature management programs such as Citavi or Zotero.

If you as a lecturer are interested in integrating this complex of topics into your course, please contact us to discuss content, methodology and the desired dates.
