Welcome to Worms. It is one of the oldest cities in Germany.

Worms has a long history dating back to the 5th century. You will also find nature nearby, such as the Odenwald forest and the Palatinate region.

Culture and Sights

You can visit many cultural sights in Worms. These include the St. Peter cathedral and the Kunsthaus with its active artist studios.

The city has a special historical meaning: Martin Luther defended his theses here. Worms is also the origin of the Nibelungen stories. You can also visit the Liebfrauenkirche. This church is the birthplace of the well-known Liebfraumilch wine.

Festivals and Events

Throughout the year, you can attend various festivals in Worms. You can visit these events together with other students and the local citizens:

• a seafood festival
• the Nibelungen theatre festival
• a jazz festival
• the Backfischfest (a large wine festival on the Rhine)

Hochschule Worms also organizes its own events for you:

• the Hochschule Worms Ball
• the Showabend with cabaret and music
• an International Day to share cultures, traditions, and food
