Student Union
The representation of students’ interests at Worms University of Applied Sciences vis-à-vis the university is ensured by the AStA, the Student Parliament and the student councils.
General Students’ Committee – AStA
We, the AStA, are made up of student volunteers from all Faculties and are responsible for representing students’ academic, financial and social interests.
As well as providing advice and support to students, we organise fantastic events and offer attractive activities, such as the University Ball, the freshers’ welcome, the Campus Get-Together, the Buddy Programme, and sports, further education and language courses. Furthermore, we chair and convene the General Assembly and are involved in general university policy.
Do pop in to see us – we look forward to supporting you.
Student Parliament – StuPa
The Student Parliament, or StuPa for short, is the highest decision-making body of every student self-governing body at universities in Rhineland-Palatinate and is enshrined in the Higher Education Act as a permanent body of the Student Union.
In addition to the functions listed above, we represent the students of our university on the Board of Trustees of the Vorderpfalz Student Services Organisation, in the Worms Alumni Club (ACW), in the Quality Assurance Working Group and in other bodies and committees, in order to ensure that students’ interests are safeguarded.
We hold a public meeting at least once a month, to which you are all warmly invited. There, you will have the opportunity to share your ideas or criticisms with us and to raise any issues openly, because only then can we make a difference together.

Legal framework
The bodies of student self-government – namely the Constituted Student Body, the AStA and the Student Parliament – are governed by the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act.
