Introducing the Executive Committee
Together with the university community, we are shaping the future of Worms University of Applied Sciences: the Executive Board, comprising the President, the Vice-Presidents and the Chancellor, works as a collegial management team. A clear division of responsibilities creates the scope to drive forward key areas for the future in a targeted manner: from the continuous development of study programmes and teaching, through the targeted promotion of innovative research and strong regional partnerships, to forward-looking staff development and a modern, high-performance infrastructure on campus.

The President leads and represents the university. Together with partners from the worlds of academia, politics and business, she drives the university’s strategic direction in order to establish it firmly in the region as a leading educational and research institution.
The Vice-President for Studies and Teaching acts as the President’s representative on the University Executive Board and drives teaching forward strategically – through high quality standards, continuing professional development opportunities and strong international partnerships.
The Vice-President for Research and Knowledge Transfer acts as the President’s representative. He strengthens the university’s position as a centre for research, knowledge transfer and start-ups, and expands its network of links with businesses in the region.
Chancellor
Kerstin Henzel, Assistant to the Judge
The Chancellor heads the university’s administration. She ensures that it operates in compliance with the law and oversees the strategic direction of finance and human resources, as well as the strategic development of non-academic staff.
