Together Monday
A campus project for all generations
With ‘Miteinander-Montag’, we are creating a space for people to meet and learn. Students and older people come together through workshops, discussions and creative activities. This fosters greater understanding, a sense of community and digital independence.
Project objectives:
- To promote digital skills amongst older people
- To facilitate intergenerational encounters
- Strengthen social participation and inclusion
- Establish the university as a hub for an open, urban society
Weekly get-together – ‘Together Mondays’
The morning programme takes place every Monday from 10.30 am to 12.00 pm on the campus of Worms University of Applied Sciences. A variety of activities are on offer, encouraging participants to get involved and share ideas:
- Digital together: support with using smartphones, tablets and the internet
- Getting creative together: design, crafts and artistic activities
- Staying informed together: short talks and discussion groups on current topics
Afterwards, from 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm, everyone is warmly invited to join us for lunch in the canteen. There, students, staff and senior citizens meet at the ‘Together Table’, which is clearly marked. In a relaxed atmosphere, conversations, ideas and new connections flourish here.
Guests can collect a guest card from the canteen till. You simply top up the card with cash.
Worms University of Applied Sciences and the City of Worms – Department for Senior Citizens and Inclusion – are implementing the project jointly. In this way, both organisations are promoting intergenerational exchange and digital participation in Worms.
