My semester in Rome was an unforgettable experience – a city brimming with history, art and culture that never ceased to impress me. Exploring
the monuments dating back thousands of years and the places steeped in history was simply fascinating. Alongside all the cultural highlights, the food was of course not to be missed – I think I ate more pizza and pasta than ever before! And on top of that? I developed a new little fondness for espresso.
Thanks to Erasmus, I was able to meet lots of people from all over the world and take part in some brilliant activities – yes, even skiing was on the agenda! But one thing really brought me back down to earth: my English skills are only of limited use in Italy. All in all, it was an incredible time that I can’t recommend highly enough to everyone!

Eight months, surrounded by Irish people, Guinness and thick accents. I had so many experiences during my two semesters abroad in Dublin. I didn’t just get to know the history and culture of Ireland and its people better. Whether they were from Ireland, France, Italy, China, Panama or
many other countries, my semester abroad allowed me to exchange ideas and make friends with people from a wide range of cultures.
As well as the many people I had the pleasure of meeting, I also had the chance to explore Ireland beyond Dublin.
I particularly enjoyed the self-organised trips to Galway, Cork and their surrounding countryside and national parks. Whether it was the Cliffs of
Moher, Glendalough, Connemara or a sea safari in Dingle, I was constantly impressed by the beauty of Ireland. Of
course, a semester abroad isn’t just about leisure time.
Attending lectures and sitting exams at TU Dublin was challenging, great
fun and helped me to integrate better into everyday life in the country. I also made most of my friends through
the university, for example in the numerous student clubs such as basketball, go-karting or rock climbing. These two semesters abroad were one of the best experiences of my life.

Six months, 1,000 kilometres away, multinational, hands-on and full of experiences. My internship abroad at Robert Bosch Kft. in Budapest was an experience of a lifetime!
During that time, I experienced and learnt an incredible amount – whether it was the day-to-day work of a computer scientist, working independently in an international team, or the philosophy of a major corporation.
The international sports community was also wonderful, as were the new, multicultural friendships I made and the activities we enjoyed together (ranging from playing beach volleyball to kayaking). I felt right at home in the beautiful city of Budapest with its diverse art, architecture and buildings. Hungarian culture, the language, the food and the currency have become part of my everyday life.
It was a huge challenge, and the preparations were particularly stressful, but I’m glad I had the opportunity to do my internship abroad in Budapest! Thank you!
