Indoor Navigator – Indoor navigation system for buildings

The Indoor Navigator is a navigation system designed for areas where GPS reception is not possible, such as inside buildings. Route guidance is provided without any network connection; users can even use their smartphone in flight mode. An application – for example, in a hospital – enables barrier-free and contactless navigation, thereby reducing contact between users and contaminated objects.

The Indoor Navigator offers a suitable selection of possible destinations and guides users there in a user-friendly manner. It distinguishes between pedestrians, athletes and wheelchair users in order to avoid potential barriers. During navigation, users automatically receive visual and spoken directions to points of interest. The basic information is managed via a standalone, user-friendly desktop component, which can be used to place waypoints. Both Wi-Fi signals and Bluetooth are used for positioning.
