Your Future in Entrepreneurship

The Master’s program Entrepreneurship – cooperative (M.A.) provides an in-depth study of business administration with a focus on entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and starting a business. In this English-taught program, you will explore how to develop and implement innovative business ideas and design business models, as well as the strategic and economic challenges faced by startups, young companies, and family businesses. In doing so, you will expand your knowledge and skills to identify entrepreneurial opportunities, develop business ideas, and strategically shape their implementation.

The combination of academically grounded study and intensive professional practice allows you to apply what you learn directly to real-world entrepreneurial challenges. Practical projects, workshops, and engagement with founders and companies complement the academic content. Thanks to the close integration of university and practice, you will tackle current challenges and gain valuable professional experience during your studies. International compulsory elective modules allow you to choose your own areas of specialization and tailor your studies to your interests.

The program’s international focus is also reflected in English as the language of instruction and the international composition of the student body. Interaction with students from different countries and with diverse academic and cultural backgrounds broadens your perspective on entrepreneurial issues and international markets.

A Master of Arts degree opens up a wide range of career prospects – for example, in entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development, in startups and young companies, in innovation management, and in consulting. The program also provides a solid foundation for starting your own business and further developing innovative business ideas.

Our Students’ Experiences

My Experience

Ivan, 18 September 2025 – Entrepreneurship (MA)
I have already successfully completed half of my modules and find that the programme’s content is very well balanced. The blend of theory and practice is well thought out – it is challenging, but not overwhelming. This gives me enough time to continue developing my skills outside of class and to take part in additional projects. One example was a case championship organised by Deutsche Telekom as part of the Innovation Management course, which my team and I won. Experiences like these have not only opened up new perspectives for me, but also given me a great deal of practical experience.

Practical Insights and Strategic Skills

Yusif, 8 January 2025 – Entrepreneurship (MA)
The Entrepreneurship programme at HS Worms offers practice-oriented and strategic training for aspiring founders and innovators. It combines theoretical foundations with real-world case studies, business plan development and creative problem-solving. Particularly valuable are the opportunities to engage with industry experts and work in interdisciplinary teams, which foster innovative thinking. The university also places great emphasis on teaching entrepreneurial soft skills such as leadership and networking, which provide ideal preparation for starting a business or taking on management roles.

Collaboration between an SME and a large company

Toby, 20 July 2024 – Entrepreneurship (MA)
I found this programme interesting in terms of the lecturers, courses and students. We have some collaborative projects with large companies such as Lufthansa and also SMEs such as Calamedia. It has met my expectations in terms of acquiring the entrepreneurial skills I will need in the future, and collaborating with such companies provides entrepreneurship students with a very practical opportunity to gain direct experience of the corporate environment.

A Very Interesting and Inspiring Programme

Olga, 21 October 2023 – Entrepreneurship (MA)
Most of the lecturers were always very helpful and supported us with all our projects and questions about starting a business. As a student, you could learn a great deal from their expertise. You could take a few online courses, which some students also attended from abroad. Generally speaking, the class size is ideal for fostering a good exchange of ideas and ensuring everyone is included. A large proportion of my fellow students were international students, which was really nice. This allowed me to make friends from all over the world and broaden my horizons.

Entrepreneurship Comes to Life Here!

Amelie, 17 July 2022 – Entrepreneurship (MA)
The programme has only been running since the summer semester of 2021, so joining it at such an early stage was a risk for me. So far, however, I have not been disappointed (2nd semester). The lecturers’ aim is to awaken our entrepreneurial spirit and/or drive innovation. Most courses are specifically tailored to entrepreneurship – ranging from design thinking to business modelling, business plan writing and boot camps. You practise pitching here until you can do it in your sleep. Start-up projects are supported, and the university and its lecturers have strong links with other start-up centres, start-ups, banks, companies and more in the region. In addition to lectures, further events are offered, such as Founders’ Tuesday.
