Why do an internship abroad?

An internship abroad allows you to gain practical experience worldwide. At the same time, you get to know the day-to-day work environment and culture of other countries.

These experiences benefit you in the international job market:

  • You improve your language skills.
  • You deepen your knowledge of your field of study.
  • You develop intercultural skills.

This makes it much easier for you to launch your career after graduation.

How do I find an internship?

The Worms University of Applied Sciences Career Center hosts a job board on its website, where you can find current internship listings for positions both in Germany and abroad. The Career Center also provides links to international job boards and rankings of major companies across various regions, countries, and industries.

If you need assistance, the Career Center team is happy to provide personal advice regarding your application.

Tips for your internship abroad

If you are planning an internship abroad, we recommend the following steps:

  • Visit the Career Center website.
  • Check the notice boards in your department.
  • Contact Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
  • Reach out to German companies with locations abroad (e.g., Bosch, VW, Lufthansa, Siemens, and Schenker).

Please always clarify all academic requirements for your internship abroad directly with your department.
