Delegation from Worms University of Applied Sciences at an international aviation conference in Vietnam

A delegation from Worms University of Applied Sciences, led by Vice-President Prof. Dr Hans Rück, recently took part in AFCS 2025 – The 3rd International Conference on Aviation Future: Challenges and Solutions – in Vietnam.

The conference was jointly organised by the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA), Worms University of Applied Sciences and other academic partners. The highlight was Prof. Dr Rück’s keynote speech on the topic of ‘Customer Loyalty and the Net Promoter Score: Key Drivers of Airline Profitability’, in which he presented strategies for increasing customer loyalty and the profitability of airlines.

The proceedings of the conference will be published by Springer. These include the peer-reviewed papers by Professors Frank Fichert, Christoph Klingenberg and Richard Klophaus, as well as by Ms Thi Thuy An Vo, a PhD student at Worms University of Applied Sciences and the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Another highlight of the trip was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UEH International School of Business (UEH ISB), part of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH). The UEH is one of Vietnam’s leading and internationally recognised universities and achieves excellent rankings in global university rankings in the fields of economics and management. The aim of the MoU is to strengthen the exchange of students and lecturers and to promote joint research and teaching projects.

Through its participation, Worms University of Applied Sciences is underlining its commitment to expanding international partnerships, developing practical solutions to the challenges facing the aviation industry, and promoting networking amongst students and researchers worldwide.
