Prof. Dr Tim Sterzenbach and Eric Leddin are developing an application-oriented lecture programme. As part of this, they will also be actively seeking contact with SMEs in the future in order to work together to develop concrete problem-solving processes.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) is on everyone’s lips. Not only in tourism and transport, but across the entire business sector, new areas of application for artificial intelligence are emerging at a rapid pace. The shortage of skilled workers is increasing the importance of innovative technologies, so that businesses can continue to grow. For example, in the areas of process optimisation and the handling of routine tasks, there are opportunities to support businesses efficiently.

Eric Leddin is a renowned expert in the development and implementation of AI strategies for companies that still lack AI expertise entirely. In their joint lecture, the two lecturers will therefore introduce students to current approaches for the systematic integration of AI into existing processes, from strategic planning through to practical application.

The first series of events met with great interest and underlines the growing importance of application-oriented AI teaching at Worms University of Applied Sciences.

“The transfer of AI research into concrete, value-adding applications is one of the key challenges of our time at universities. The collaboration with Eric Leddin opens up new perspectives for us in this regard,” emphasises Prof. Dr Tim Sterzenbach. Eric Leddin also highlights the added value of the collaboration: “The combination of academic depth and entrepreneurial implementation expertise lays the foundation for innovative and responsible AI solutions.”
