University account
⚠️ Warning
- Use a unique password for your university account.
- Change your university account password if you are already using it on other websites.
- Change your password if you suspect unauthorised access and inform us of the incident.
- The IT Centre will never ask you for your password.
- Never share your password with anyone else.
Change your university password?
Do you know your current password and would like to change it?
- Log in to the webmail service using your university account username (without @hs-worms.de).
- Click on ‘Settings’ in the centre-left of the screen.
- Select ‘Password’ from the left-hand column.
- When setting your new password, please note the following requirements:
- at least 15 characters long
- Upper- and lower-case letters
- at least one number
- at least one special character (e.g. ! or @).
The " (quotation mark) cannot be used as a special character.
You can find tips on creating secure passwords from the BSI.
- Then click on ‘Save’.
- Never disclose your password to anyone else.
For administrative and library staff
only
- Log in to the administration webmail service using your university account (without @hs-worms.de).
- Click on ‘Settings’ in the centre-left of the screen.
- Select ‘Password’ from the left-hand column.
- Set a new password. Your password must:
- be at least 15 characters long,
- contain upper- and lower-case letters,
- contain at least one number, and
- contain at least one special character (e.g. ! or @).
The " (quotation mark) cannot be used as a special character.

- Then click on ‘Save’.
- Never disclose your password to anyone else.
Forgotten your university password?
Have you forgotten your password? There are two ways to reset it:
Please send us a valid identity document as proof of your identity:
- Student ID card
- Staff ID card
- Identity card
- Passport
to helpdesk@hs-worms.de and request a password reset.
Please
come to the Data Centre’s service office in Building A, 1st floor, Room 104.
Please bring a valid form of identification with you:
- Student ID card
- Staff ID card
- Identity card
- Passport

- Subject: Problem with the software application (e.g. university account)
- Content: A detailed description of your problem, including at least the username you are using and, if possible, a screenshot
- Email sender: Please use the webmail service or email client with your university email address wherever possible
