SAARTE – Spatially-Aware Augmented Reality in Teaching and Education
The SAARTE research project is investigating the use of augmented reality in education. The focus is on applications in environmental education and higher education, where interactive AR technologies are used to make learning processes spatially tangible. The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The SAARTE research project is investigating the use of augmented reality in education. It focuses on two specific areas of application: environmental education and university teaching. The aim is to use interactive AR technologies to make learning processes spatial, context-based and practical.
Interactive AR applications in higher education. ‘Head-mounted see-through AR devices’ are used to facilitate context-based learning within a physical space.
- Project duration: until 2021
