Why study Taxation (BA) – the traditional way?

Those who understand taxation shape the future.

The Bachelor’s degree programme in Taxation (B.A.) combines in-depth knowledge of tax law with business administration, accounting and law, and specifically prepares students for challenging roles in tax consultancy and corporate tax departments. The programme focuses on a practice-oriented specialisation in taxation, combining specialist tax expertise with a broad understanding of business administration.

The traditional programme offers the opportunity to link the knowledge acquired with professional experience through work placements and an integrated practical semester. In this way, the content taught on the course is directly applied to specific real-world issues, ensuring that students are optimally prepared for their career entry.

The programme provides a comprehensive understanding of tax-related issues and their impact on businesses and economic decision-making. The programme is complemented by current topics and practical issues from the field of taxation.

The degree opens up a wide range of career prospects – particularly in tax consultancy firms, audit firms, companies and in finance and tax departments. At the same time, the programme provides a solid foundation for further specialisation at Master’s level and the subsequent path towards the tax adviser qualification.

Flexible study: You will complete your degree after 6 semesters, having earned 180 ECTS credits. If you opt for an additional work placement semester, you will study for 7 semesters, earn 210 ECTS credits and can then progress to a Master’s programme at Worms University of Applied Sciences. During your studies, you will work with, amongst other things, DATEV, the industry-leading tax software.
