Above the rooftops of Worms
Every year, the Faculty of Tourism and Transport at Worms University of Applied Sciences organises a taster flight day at Worms Aerodrome. Students in their third semester of the English-language Aviation Management degree programme take part in sightseeing flights over the city.
A choice of two aircraft
Students choose one of two aircraft.
- Robinson R44 (helicopter)
- Cessna 182 (light aircraft)
Both models are also used in the pilot training programme for the ‘Aviation Management and Piloting dual’ degree course. This degree course combines a commercial pilot’s licence with a university degree in business administration. [please check: official spelling of the degree course name]
Procedure
During the sightseeing flights, students receive explanations about the procedures and technical instruments directly in the cockpit. In this way, the taster flight day complements the business management content of the degree programme by providing practical insight. [Please check: dates and registration for the taster flight day]
