Every Thursday from 2 pm, DesignLab O105-2 and the workshop in the Container Village (CD) are open to everyone connected to our university – from alumni to students.
Do you have an idea, a project or a specific challenge? Bring it along! Together, we’ll see what the next step could be.
On other days too, you can use the facilities after a quick arrangement – in O105-2, by phone or by emailing the DesignLab.

Laser Day
... or a different take on fretwork!
3 December 2026 from 1 pm Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation – Workshop
Come and see our laser cutter in action or create your own craft project, such as a creative jigsaw puzzle or personalised Christmas tree decorations – no craft skills required.
It all kicks off on the Thursday before St Nicholas’ Day from 1 pm in the container village, in the workshop at the back on the left. Just pop in between 1 pm and 5 pm, bring your own designs or images, and see our ‘laser sword’ in action.
