The ‘R(h)eine Gründungssache’ project was launched on 1 April 2018 as a joint initiative between Worms University of Applied Sciences and the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society (HWG). Funded by the State of Rhineland-Palatinate and the European Union, the aim was to encourage more students to start their own businesses and to strengthen spin-offs from both universities. The funded phase of the project ended in 2022. Since then, the collaboration between Worms and Ludwigshafen has continued in a more informal manner, for example through joint events. Students have their own platform, rheinegruendungssache.de, which brings together current events from both campuses.
