What happens next after you’ve applied?
Congratulations: you have submitted your application via the applicant portal. This brings you one step closer to securing a place at university in Worms.
Student Services will process your application once it has been received electronically. Please check the applicant portal regularly. There you can view the current status of your application and find out if any documents are still missing.
If you later receive an offer of admission, please download your letter of admission from the applicant portal. You can also apply for enrolment there.
On this page, you can find out the different statuses your application may go through. You’ll also find information on the next steps.
The status of your application: a brief explanation
Below you will find the possible statuses of your application.
We will inform you as soon as possible via the applicant portal. Please therefore refrain from enquiring about the status of your application.
Application
You have started to complete your application on the applicant portal. The application has not yet been permanently saved in the system.
You have completed your application on the applicant portal and submitted it electronically. The university is now reviewing your application. As soon as the review is complete, we will notify you again of the change in status. Prerequisite: You must have enabled notifications.
Your application is not yet eligible for admission. Possible reasons: you do not meet all the admission requirements, or you have not submitted all the required documents correctly.
You can submit any missing documents within the application deadline. Please check the applicant portal to see which documents are still missing. There you will also find instructions on how to submit them to us. If you are unsure, please send the missing documents to application@hs-worms.de or contact us by telephone.
Centralised admissions procedure (DoSV degree programme)
Your application does not meet the admission requirements. We are unable to consider it in the admissions process.
Master’s degree programme or application for a higher semester
Your application is not eligible for admission. Possible reason: you do not meet all the admission requirements, or you have not submitted all the required documentation correctly. We cannot take your application into account in the admissions process.
Your application is eligible for admission and will be considered in the allocation process. This means you have a chance of receiving an offer of admission. You can submit any missing documents, which are listed on the applicant portal, at a later date.
For a degree programme with no admission restrictions, this status means that you will be admitted. As soon as all planning for the semester has been finalised, you will receive your offer of admission. You can then access your admission letter online.
Authorisation
DoSV degree programme
You have received an offer of admission. If you wish to enrol on this course, please accept the offer via the Hochschulstart portal within the specified deadline. You will then receive a letter of admission. Afterwards, please apply for enrolment via the Worms University of Applied Sciences applicant portal.
Master’s degree programme or application for a higher semester
You have received an offer of admission. If you wish to enrol for this application, please accept the offer within the specified deadline. To do so, apply for enrolment via the Worms University of Applied Sciences applicant portal.
We have not yet been able to make you an offer of admission. This is a provisional status. You still have a chance of receiving an offer of admission for this application. Your application remains part of the selection process.
You have accepted an offer of admission via the Hochschulstart applicant portal. You will receive your letter of admission shortly. You must now apply for enrolment via the Worms University of Applied Sciences applicant portal.
You have deferred an offer of a place or your admission on the Hochschulstart applicant portal.
You have decided to accept a different offer. This application has therefore been withdrawn. You can no longer accept it.
You did not accept the offer of a place by the deadline. Your application has therefore been withdrawn. You can no longer accept it.
We were unable to offer you a place on the degree programme you applied for. You will receive a letter of rejection by post.
Enrolment
You have submitted your application for enrolment in the correct manner. Please send the complete enrolment documents, as specified in your letter of offer, to the university by the deadline.
You have submitted your enrolment application in the correct manner. We have received your enrolment documents. We are currently checking them to ensure they are complete.
You are enrolled at Worms University of Applied Sciences. You will receive your enrolment certificates by email. The enrolment process is now complete.

Offer of a place on DoSV degree programmes
(Bachelor’s degree programme with restricted admission; applications via the central admissions system)
Check the Hochschulstart portal to see if you have received an offer.
If you wish to enrol, please follow these steps:
- Log in to the Hochschulstart portal.
- Accept the offer of place you wish to take up.
- You will receive an email from us with further information on enrolment.
- You will receive your letter of admission, which includes the enrolment deadline, via the application portal. We will notify you by email as soon as it is available for download.
- You will find the next steps in the admission letter.
The sooner you accept the offer of admission, the sooner we can enrol you. The sooner you complete the online enrolment process, the sooner we can finalise your enrolment.
Offer of admission for non-DoSV degree programmes
(degree programme with no entry requirements, higher semester, Master’s programme; application via the decentralised procedure)
Check the university’s applicant portal to see if you have received an offer.
If you wish to enrol, please follow these steps:
- You will receive an email containing information about your offer of admission.
- Download the letter of offer directly from the application portal.
- Log in to the University of Worms’ applicant portal.
- Select a study place and start the online enrolment process.
- Further information can be found in your offer of admission.
The sooner you complete the online enrolment process, the sooner we will finalise your enrolment.
