Questions about the correct behaviour in the event of an illness or a suspected infection with the coronavirus.

  • I have symptoms typical of corona disease. What should I do?

    1. Do not come to the University of Applied Sciences Worms or leave immediately until the symptoms have been medically clarified.

    2. Contact your doctor or the nationwide patient service (116 117) immediately by telephone. Follow the (test) instructions.

    3. If you have been tested positive, follow the relevant regulations in the FAQs (https://www.hs-worms.de/corona/).

    4. Do not return to the university until the suspected infection or illness has been cleared by a doctor (if necessary, by presenting a negative Corona test).

  • I have tested positive for the Corona virus (certified rapid test/ PCR test). What should I do?

    1. Do not come to the University of Applied Sciences Worms.

    2. Contact the following offices at Worms University immediately:

    3. Contact the Health Office immediately and follow the quarantine order. Please note that the possibility of "work quarantine" listed in §1 (3) AbsonderungsVO RLP is not offered to employees by the University of Worms.

  • The result of my Corona self-test was positive. What should I do?

    1. Do not come to the University of Applied Sciences Worms.

    2. Go to a testing center to have a certified rapid test performed. If the result of your certified rapid test is also positive, please proceed as follows (from 3.).

    3. Contact the following offices at Worms University immediately:

    4. Contact immediately by phone your doctor or the nationwide patient service (116 117). Follow the (test) instructions and quarantine orders. Please note that the possibility of "work quarantine" listed in §1 (3) AbsonderungsVO RLP is not offered to employees of the University of Worms.

    5. Do not come back to the university until the suspicion of infection or illness has been medically clarified (if necessary by presenting a negative corona test).

  • I have had contact with a person who is/was infected with the Corona virus in the past 14 days. How should I behave?

    1. Please inform yourself in the currently valid Absonderungsverordnung Rheinland-Pfalz, which quarantine rules have to be observed in your individual case.  Please note that the possibility of "work quarantine" listed in §1 (3) AbsonderungsVO RLP is not offered to employees by Worms University. In case of any uncertainties or queries, please contact the responsible health office by telephone.

    2. If you have typical symptoms, please also contact your doctor or the nationwide patient service (116 117) by telephone. Follow the (test) instructions and quarantine orders if necessary. If you have tested positive, follow the appropriate regulations in the FAQs (https://www.hs-worms.de/corona/).

    3. University employees inform the supervisor, students inform the head of the study program of the University of Worms about the quarantine, if necessary. If you have been tested positive, follow the corresponding regulations in the FAQs (https://www.hs-worms.de/corona/).

    4. Follow the testing instructions; if ordered, do not return to the university until you have a certified negative test (certified rapid test or PCR test).

  • The health department has ordered isolation or quarantine for me. How should I behave?

    1. Do not come to the University of Applied Sciences Worms until you have a certified negative Corona test.

    2. Contact the following offices at Worms University immediately:

    • University employees inform the "Emergency Corona Office" (praevention@hs-worms.de) and supervisor(s). In addition, immediately submit the Health Department's order in this regard to the Human Resources Department.
    • Students inform the "Emergency Corona Office" (praevention@hs-worms.de) and the student's supervisor. In addition, immediately submit the Health Department's order in this regard to the Examination Management/Proctor's Office.

    3. University employees please use the possibility of mobile working during the time of the quarantine order.

    4. If you have tested positive, follow the appropriate regulations in the FAQs (https://www.hs-worms.de/corona/).

  • A quarantine order has been issued by the health department for a person with whom I live in a domestic community (e.g. family, shared apartment). What should I do?

    1. Please refer to the currently valid Rheinland-Pfalz quarantine regulations to find out which quarantine rules are to be observed in your individual case. If you are unsure or have any questions, please contact your local health department by telephone.

    2. If you have typical symptoms, please also contact your doctor or the nationwide patient service (116 117) by telephone. Follow the (test) instructions and quarantine orders if necessary. If you have tested positive, follow the appropriate regulations in the FAQs (https://www.hs-worms.de/corona/).

    3. Contact the following Worms University offices immediately:

    • University employees inform the "Emergency Corona Office" (praevention@hs-worms.de) and supervisor(s). In addition, submit the Health Department's order to that effect to the Human Resources Department without delay.
    • Students inform the "Emergency Corona Office" (praevention@hs-worms.de) and the student's supervisor. In addition, immediately submit the Health Department's order in this regard to the Examination Management/Office of Examinations.

    4. University employees please use the mobile work option during the time of the quarantine order.

    5. Follow testing instructions; if ordered, do not return to the university until a certified negative test (certified rapid test or PCR test) has been submitted.
