Free use of nextbike for students and staff at Worms University of Applied Sciences

Students and staff at Worms University of Applied Sciences can use nextbike bicycles free of charge. The process is as follows:

For students:

  1. Register in the VRNnextbike app using your university email address.

  2. Verify your registration and provide payment details for security purposes. (To verify your payment method, a deposit of €1 must be made, which can be reused later.)

  3. Confirm the activation link sent to your university email address.

  4. The first 30 minutes of each hire are free of charge.

Further details:

  • Each additional 30 minutes costs €0.50. The maximum daily charge is €5.00.

  • Bicycle availability: On campus in front of the L and H buildings, and at Worms Central Station (in front of and behind the station). All stations are shown on the nextbike app.

  • The subscription is valid throughout Germany (except in Bremen, Oldenburg, Nuremberg and Usedom).

  • If several bikes are hired on one account (maximum 3 bikes), the standard rate applies: €1.00 per 30 minutes, with a maximum daily charge of €9.00.

  • If the link to the HS Worms subscription is not established automatically, please update your university email address in the settings and confirm it via the activation link sent to you.

For staff:

Different terms and conditions apply: Use is free of charge for the first 60 minutes of each journey, throughout Germany. Registration is also carried out via the HS Worms email address. If you are interested in taking part on behalf of staff, please contact Ms Saso (saso@hs-worms.de) to receive further information and an access code.
