The Research Database of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate
SciPort RLP is the primary research portal of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It offers easy and free web access to the departments and institutions of the Rhineland-Palatinate universities, their scientists, research activities and publications. SciPort RLP is an ongoing joint project of the universities of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate (MWVLW). Scientific publications entered into SciPort RLP are automatically delivered to the Worms University library for revision. This guarantees consistently high data quality and enables publication data to be used in a scientific context. The operation and further development of the system are ensured by the ZTT.
SciPort RLP enables research through easy-to-use search functions and can answer questions such as:
- Which scientists and scientific institutions deal with which topics and with whom do they collaborate successfully?
- Who is/would be a competent scientific partner?
- Which publications are relevant to a given topic?
SciPort RLP includes five core components:

SciPort RLP offers many free services and benefits to its members. These include:
- Revision of entered publications
- Importing publications from systems such as Web of Science and others
- Entry into SciPort RLP obviates the requirement for participating instituions to submit a separate yearly research report to the Ministry of Science
