Computer Science

Exciting Present - Secure Future

Modern people are mobile and want to enjoy the benefits of an Internet-enabled computer wherever they are. The triumphant advance of smartphones and tablet computers speaks a clear language here, and there is no end in sight to this development. This applies to private use, but also - increasingly - to the business sector.

Programming for mobile devices poses special challenges for computer scientists: they program at the upper end of what the guild is capable of. The development of new devices and platforms always requires creative solutions. The desire of users for ever more powerful applications is increasing and needs to be met. Combined with the development in cloud computing, there are many possibilities that need to be explored.

The Master's program in Mobile Computing at Worms University offers you a solid education in one of the most innovative fields of computer science.

Dual Study

With the dual study program Mobile Computing at Worms University of Applied Sciences, students opt for an academic study program in which theory and practice are closely intertwined. Prospective students need a contract with a partner company for the dual study program. They work there during the lecture-free period and have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned in their studies. Individual examinations and the master's thesis are completed in cooperation with "their" company. The alternation between theoretical and practical phases of the studies optimally prepares students for their future careers.
