Objectives

Programming for mobile devices and the development of new technologies and platforms requires creative solutions. In addition to mobile application development and the conception of software architectures, students strengthen their methodical, analytical, social and scientific-theoretical skills during their studies. For the assumption of later project management or leadership tasks, the so-called key qualifications such as presentation and communication techniques are an important factor. When working on and presenting project work and during the practical phases, students strengthen their competencies as part of a team in this area as well.

Ideal Study Conditions

Due to the small group sizes of about 15 students in the courses, direct contact with the lecturers as well as optimal supervision are guaranteed at all times. The Department of Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences Worms provides its students with the most modern laboratory technology for their studies. All our lecturers have a scientific background as well as several years of experience in business enterprises.

Duration of Studies

The regular duration of study is 3 semesters. In consultation with the partner company and the head of the study program, students can also complete a semester or a practical phase abroad.

Occupational Fields

After successfully completing their studies in Mobile Computing, students can take on more advanced tasks at their partner company. But they also have excellent opportunities on the job market. Specialists in the field of mobile computing are needed in all areas and industries. They can also work in scientific research and pursue a doctorate.
